Although it is yet to be formally declared, it would seem fairly certain that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme will come back for a 2nd solo outing in Stage Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, given that Doctor Strange movie has made an amazing $650 million + at the globally box office.
“She is a challenging personality to understand because her uncle is a kind of fire-headed omnipotent god and she is kind of a hot babe who research magic,” said Spaihts. “That is a challenging connection to carry out of a comic book and on to a movie screen. But she’s a really compelling character as a foil, a love interest, a co-worker of Doctor Strange’s, and she always carries with her that width of secret as to whether she is human, and how human, and what that means for his connection to her. So we might find a way to present her to the tale.”
Spaihts also mentioned prospective bad guysfor the Sorcerer Supreme, stating: “[Nightmare is] one of the big ones, yes, absolutely! There is sort of a zombie apocalypse Shuma-Gorath elder god scenario. There is a kind of unreliable reality Nightmare film that could be created. There is a few excellent things, and of course Mordo is out there, as embodied by the outstanding Chiwetel [Ejiofor]. He can return again and carry a world of hurt at any time.”
